Jumping Jellyfish! Reel FX is urgently seeking Senior Animators to join our talented Spongebob crew aboard the Crosstown Express!
This exciting opportunity offers a 2-month contract starting in early October. If you’re a skilled animator who can bring beloved characters to life, don’t miss this chance to join us on this creative journey!
Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Animation Supervisor, this position involves creating captivating character performances and motion for various objects and scenes, following storyboards, animatics, and other visual references.
Responsibilities:
- Create key frame animation sequences based on supervisor assignments.
- Animate lip-sync, facial expressions, full body movements, and prop interactions.
- Stay current with animation trends and techniques to ensure top-quality results.
- Consistently meet production deadlines and goals as outlined by the APM/PM team.
- Serve as a character specialist when needed for specific animation needs.
Qualifications:
- Degree or diploma in Fine Arts, Animation, or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum 1 year of experience as an Animator (or equivalent).
- Strong understanding of character animation, lip-syncing, and posing.
- Proficient in Maya or similar 3D animation software.
- Excellent communication skills, both creative and technical.
- Strong compositional skills are preferred but not required.
Priority will be given to Canadian citizens and permanent residents.
