Job Description

Ingenuity Studios is seeking a skilled Senior Animator to join our Animation Team. This role involves creating high-level animation sequences, collaborating closely with Creative Directors, Production Staff, and other departments. As an Animation Artist, you’ll need strong technical skills and artistic judgment, with responsibilities including animating various styles, handling Mocap cleanup, and working with Maya for visual effects projects. Professionalism and diplomacy are crucial, as you may interact directly with clients.

Responsibilities: Senior Animator

  • Collaborate with Production Staff to deliver animated sequences as per client requirements.
  • Animate in various styles, including creatures, realistic humans, motion capture, vehicles, and complex characters.
  • Perform Mocap cleanup and 3D rotomation for visual effects.
  • Utilize Maya for animation in FX-intensive projects.
  • Assist with other tasks as assigned by the Animation Supervisor or Lead.
  • Work closely with other departments on animation-related issues.

Requirements: Senior Animator

  • Understanding of animation rigging/setup and 3D character animation.
  • Strong scene layout skills to match plates.
  • Excellent artistic ability and knowledge of animation and composition.
  • Familiarity with post-production software and hardware.
  • Knowledge of Visual Effects pipelines.
  • Good communication, organizational skills, and proactive attitude.
  • Ability to work overtime/weekends as needed and meet tight deadlines.

Salary: Senior Animator

  • California Pay Range: $45-$55 USD per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.
  • Starting salary varies based on factors such as qualifications, geographic location, and market demands. The role may also qualify for annual incentives and comprehensive benefits.
