Graphic Designer

The Graphic Designer (GD) will be responsible for conceptualizing and executing visually compelling designs for packaging, marketing materials, and digital assets that align with our brand identity and resonate with consumers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Graphic Designer

· Conceptualize, create, and execute the visual strategy for the brand across all consumer touchpoints. Communicate and justify conceptual and directional choices, tying design choices back to the strategic intent of the creative brief.

· Conceptualize, create, and update packaging designs for products in collaboration with co-founder and broader marketing team.

· Develop print materials and digital assets for marketing campaigns.

· Collaborate with Marketing Managers and Digital Marketing teams to implement designs across various channels, including digital, social, print, web, and out-of-home (OOH)

· Prepare press-ready files and lay out artwork for mass production

· Ensure brand consistency across all design elements

· Stay updated on design trends and best practices. Gain an understanding of the brand’s consumers.

· Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas.

Qualifications: Graphic Designer

· Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or a related field or equivalent work experience

· At least 2-3 years of graphic design experience. Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) design a plus.

· A portfolio that demonstrates strong design mastery and brand identity. Your portfolio will be assessed on creative excellence, storytelling, technical mastery and an ability to connect design choices to the objective of the creative.

· Experience in package design with an understanding of basic print feasibility, print production processes, and file preparation.

· Disciplined with superior time and project management skills; possess the ability to set priorities and be accountable.

· Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to justify design choices. Comfortable giving and receiving feedback in a constructive manner.

· Expert in latest graphics and business programs: Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Canva, and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Powerpoint, etc)

· Strong attention to detail.

· Ability to thrive in a complex, fast-paced environment and adaptable to change.

Reports to: Chief Marketing Officer

Location: Dimondale, MI (Greater Lansing Area). Onsite 3-4 days/week

Compensation: Salary/Exempt 45k – 65k
