Job Description

FOX 13 and FOX Local in Seattle are looking for a Graphic Designer to join their team. You will work with the Marketing, Sales, and News Departments to create designs for digital, on-air, and sales campaigns. This includes original work like logos, animations, and brand elements, as well as handling creative briefs for execution by the Graphics Hub. You need to be a creative leader and collaborator, staying up to date with design trends, especially on digital and social platforms.

Duties/Responsibilities: Graphic Designer

  • Fulfill all graphics requests and ensure timely delivery
  • Create Creative Briefs for projects when needed
  • Maintain knowledge of all production tasks related to graphics
  • Determine whether projects will be handled in-house or by the Graphics Hub
  • Communicate with Marketing Manager, Director, and Producers to schedule and track projects
  • Work with technical staff to ensure proper delivery of graphics
  • Assist Graphics Hub designers with project information
  • Manage day-to-day graphics requests and production tasks
  • Assist producers with timely graphics delivery
  • Pay attention to detail in all work

Required Skills and Abilities: Graphic Designer

  • Expertise in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with Cinema 4D and 3D is a plus
  • Strong understanding of on-air graphic systems like StudioClips, Chyron, and Axis
  • Knowledge of digital graphic file formats and applications
  • Familiarity with file transfer technology for studio and remote production
  • Ability to troubleshoot graphics playout systems
  • Strong time management and the ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Salary: $30.00 – $35.00 per hour
