ROLE OVERVIEW

Terra’s Creative team is a small, agile group that solves diverse creative problems for our clients. We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Graphic Design Lead who brings experience, leadership, proactivity, and a passion for top-quality results to every project.

Graphic Design Specialist – As a key member of our growing Creative team, you will work to support our mission of bringing our clients’ marketing strategies to life through graphic design, visual branding, and personalized service. Strong candidates will have experience collaborating across teams and possess solid skills in the areas of project management, client communication, and quality assurance.

WHO YOU ARE: Graphic Design Specialist

  • 5+ years of experience in a design-oriented role.
  • Ability to own large, highly-strategic projects with multiple teams involved.
  • High-level understanding of graphic design principles and a willingness to help and mentor the rest of the team
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in 1:1 and group meetings
  • Dedication to clients by understanding their industry/capability and working alongside them (and Terra team members) to accomplish their goals
  • Ability to provide constructive solutions for how design processes and practices can be improved and then work within the team to facilitate those improvements
  • Skilled in the Adobe Creative Suite, motion design, and branding
  • An ambitious, highly skilled, and extremely organized designer
  • Detail-oriented with a strong sense of composition, color, hierarchy, and design best practices
  • A true team player who is eager to collaborate, share ideas, offer your skills, provide constructive feedback, engage with your teammates, and jump in and tackle a new assignment, no matter how challenging or unfamiliar
  • Comfortable with fast-paced environments, quick turnarounds, time management, and changing priorities

WHAT YOU’LL DO: Graphic Design Specialist

  • Design and deliver a variety of visual content, including videos, digital ads, social media graphics, decks, white papers, event graphics, and other multi-media assets
  • Develop an understanding of client needs, brand guidelines, and marketing goals
  • Communicate with project leads, team leadership, fellow designers, and clients to strategize, schedule, and execute high-quality design deliverables within the project timeline
  • Study and understand scope of work documents, project timelines, call sheets, design briefs, and project requirements
  • Work independently on some or all client projects with minimal supervision
  • Lead and/or contribute to presentation of design deliverables to clients
  • Ensure we deliver top quality work through expert creative direction, thorough design reviews, and exceptional client service
  • Follow the direction of project leads and team leadership to complete revisions and design refinements to each client’s satisfaction
  • Continually seek ways to elevate client work and exceed client expectations
  • Make a positive contribution to team strategy, professional development, and team morale
  • Review the creative work of your fellow Graphic Designers as needed and provide constructive feedback to enhance deliverable quality and professional development
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to your fellow designers and support fellow graphic designers with their projects and bandwidth when needed
  • Set an example for your fellow designers in terms of work ethic, positive attitude, professionalism, attention to detail, and a client-first mentality
