The Creative Studio at FleishmanHillard in Washington, D.C. is looking to hire a Graphic Design Intern who is a passionate, innovative, creative thinker, with strong design aesthetics. Our design interns work closely with other members of the creative team on a wide range of real client work across multiple sectors.

The Role : Graphic Design Intern
We’re looking for someone who has the ability to juggle a variety of projects and meet client expectations and deadlines. Candidates must have strong, well-rounded design skills and demonstrate those skills through a robust portfolio.
We depend on our interns heavily and treat them as a fully integrated member of our team. Our interns have the opportunity to work on a variety of print, digital, social, interactive and motion projects. This includes the early stages of some of our most exciting and challenging projects.
This is a full-time, paid internship with a three-month term. The internship program will be mostly virtual, with occasional opportunities to work on site in our D.C. office. We only consider applicants who submit an online portfolio or a PDF portfolio.
What We’re Hoping to See : Graphic Design Intern
- Creative thinker and problem solver
- Knowledge of design fundamentals and principles
- Motivation and passion
- Ability to work easily in both large team environments, or independently
- Attention to detail
- Prioritization skills
- Experience with the Adobe Creative Suite is mandatory (especially InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator)
- Be willing to experiment, comfortable trying new things, and not afraid to fail
Other Qualities Not Required : Graphic Design Intern
- Motion graphics and video editing (specifically After Effects and/or Final Cut Pro)
- Print production experience
- Basic understanding of HTML/CSS

The anticipated hourly rate for this position is $17.20-$22.00 per hour.
Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and geography.
