We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Audio Director to join our team for a kids’ animated pilot. Job Description:

As the Audio Director for our kids’ animated pilot, you will oversee all aspects of the audio production process, ensuring the highest quality sound for our final product. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Voice Over Direction: Coordinating and directing voice actors to ensure performances meet the artistic vision and maintain consistency.
  • Audio File Management: Organizing, naming, and storing audio files properly, ensuring formats and bit rates meet technical requirements.
  • Sound Design and Foley: Supervising the creation and integration of sound effects and Foley to enhance the animation.
  • Music Supervision: Collaborating with composers and music supervisors to integrate the musical score seamlessly.
  • Audio Editing: Overseeing the editing of dialogue, sound effects, and music, ensuring elements fit together harmoniously.
  • Mixing and Mastering: Supervising final mixing and mastering processes to balance audio levels and ensure clarity.
  • Quality Control: Conducting final quality checks to ensure all audio elements meet project standards.
  • Collaboration: Working closely with directors, producers, animators, and other departments to align audio with visual and narrative elements.
  • Budget and Schedule Management: Managing the audio production budget and schedule, ensuring tasks are completed on time and within budget.
  • Technical Oversight: Implementing best practices and ensuring the use of the latest audio technologies and techniques.
  • Team Leadership: Leading and mentoring the audio team, providing guidance, feedback, and support.
  • Problem Solving: Addressing technical or creative challenges that arise during the audio production process.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an Audio Director or similar role in animation or related fields.
  • Strong knowledge of audio production techniques, technologies, and best practices.
  • Excellent organizational and file management skills.
  • Proficiency in audio editing, mixing, and mastering software (e.g., Source Connect, Pro Tools, Adobe Audition).
  • Experience directing voice over sessions.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage budgets and schedules effectively.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
