Are you a talented 2D Harmony FX artist with a flair for creating hand-drawn effects in Harmony? Atomic Cartoons Inc., a premier animation studio, is seeking a skilled 2D Harmony FX artist to join our dynamic team in Vancouver. This is your chance to work on exciting 2D projects with an award-winning studio renowned for its artist-friendly culture and flexible work environment.

For 25 years, Atomic Cartoons has been at the forefront of animation, producing acclaimed 2D and CG productions like Princess Power and Last Kids on Earth. With locations in Vancouver, Ottawa, and Los Angeles, we’re known for fostering creativity and providing a collaborative atmosphere where artists thrive.

Your Role:

  • Craft stunning FX using Harmony for a sequence of shots within our production schedule.
  • Showcase your timing, pacing, and drawing fundamentals with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Follow direction from the FX Supervisor and collaborate with fellow team members.
  • Meet deadlines as set by Supervisors and Production.

We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience in 2D FX for animated series or features.
  • Expertise with Toon Boom Harmony (experience with After Effects is a plus).
  • A positive, eager-to-learn attitude and effective communication skills.
  • Eligibility to work legally in Canada and current BC residency (as of December 31, 2023).

Start Date: October 2024

Location & Pay:

  • Remote work available within BC, with hybrid and in-studio options for those in Vancouver and the Lower Mainland.
  • Competitive pay range: $1,100 – $1,400 CAD per week.
  • Benefits include medical, GRSP, vacation pay, paid holiday break, and more.
