THE POSITION : Artist Illustrator 2

Do you want to utilize your digital and print design, photography, and videography skills as a Marketing Designer (Artist Illustrator 2) with an organization that supports positive change? The Department of Corrections, Correctional Industries (CI) program provides inmates with work experience and skills training they can use to secure work upon reentry while completing projects that help non-profits and government agencies. Collaborate and design materials that promote CI products and services with our team!

DESCRIPTION OF WORK : Artist Illustrator 2

In this position, you will produce various print and digital materials for an online catalog of products and services available through the CI program and to support our sales team. This includes designing the product catalog website layout and all graphics for use on the website, capturing and retouching photos, and editing short-form videos, as well as collaborating with the sales team and shop managers to record instructional videos and develop graphic materials to aid in sales and promotion. Share your design skills and support a meaningful program that supports inmates while saving taxpayer dollars with us!

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday – Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
  • Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

Required Experience, Training & Eligibility for Artist Illustrator 2

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Artist Illustrator 2

  • Two years as an Artist Illustrator I; or
  • three years of progressively responsible art experience, including illustration preparation and general display and exhibits work; and two years of formal training in fine arts or design.
  • Appropriate art experience may be substituted for the required training on a year-for-year basis.

Additional Requirements:

  • Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
