About the job : 3D Motion Designer
Duration: 4+ month w2 contract
Location: 100% REMOTE
Details : 3D Motion Designer
This project involves the design and production of a comprehensive set of graphics, illustrations, and animations to support the team in creating educational materials for in-vehicle and other applications. We are seeking a 3D Motion Designer to contribute to this exciting endeavor.
The Scope Includes : 3D Motion Designer
- Concept Development: Creating variations on existing concepts, refining illustrations, and animations, and producing final assets.
- Illustration and Animation: Producing a variety of 2D including iconography, infographics, and instructional animations.
- Collaboration: Presenting design work to internal teams, gathering feedback, and iterating on visuals based on direction from creative staff.
- Final Asset Production: Developing final graphics for handoff to engineers and other designers.
The project aims to extend the established design look and feel of the in-vehicle and mobile language to a wider range of educational graphics and videos. This will help customers understand how to use the vehicle and interact with its features. The illustration style will include a mix of 2D iconographic illustrations, 3D illustrations, and infographics.
Services Required : 3D Motion Designer
Creative Concept Development:
- Design concepts aligned with defined communication goals.
- Extend an existing visual style for graphics and animations.
Refinement And Execution
- Produce refined graphics based on feedback from internal teams (creative and UX subject matter experts).
- Deliver final files and source files for handoff to designers and developers.
Communication And Accountability
- Report directly to the Visual Design team and participate in relevant meetings.
- Communicate effectively and promptly, adhering to agreed-upon deadlines and expectations.
- Be readily available through communication channels such as Slack, email, and Webex.
Required Skills And Tools
- Illustration and Graphic Design: Strong proficiency in Figma, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
- Animation: Experience with animation tools such as Protopie, RIVE, After Effects, and others.
- 3D Modeling and Animation: Familiarity with 3D creation tools like Maya and Unreal Engine is desirable.
Estimated Deliverables
2D Illustrations:
- 20-30 illustrations for educational purposes, animated in a pre-defined style.
- 30-50 iconographic illustrations for tools, applications, weather, etc., executed in a pre-defined style.
