Job Description

About the job : 3D CAD & Dig Illustrator 1

Haas Automation, Inc. is looking for a new part of the team: a 3D CAD & Digital Illustrator 1. If you have expertise in 3D CAD and a flair for digital illustration, we’d love to have you join our innovative team!

3D CAD and Digital Illustrator works in both the CAD design world and the 3D rendering world. The final products of this position are lightweight 3D Solid Models for customer use, and fully dimensioned 2D Machine Layout Drawings (MLD) for internal and external use. Secondary projects, if workload permits, may include: full-color, photorealistic 3D illustrations depicting Haas machines and internal components in cross-section views, including descriptive diagrams, exploded-view illustrations, and semi-realistic assembly illustrations. The process involves working directly with Haas Product Engineers to compile the necessary 3D models of Haas CNC machines and sub-assemblies, and then simplifying them to create customer-facing models and MLDs. Strong experience in SolidWorks, 3D Studio Max, Redshift, and standard Adobe products like Photoshop, etc., required. This position requires solid mechanical knowledge, but offers some freedom on the render and animation side.
